The Firm & Staff
Keith E. Crockett
I was born and raised on the beautiful Eastern Shore of Virginia. I grew up working in a small family owned seafood business and realized at a very young age to appreciate hard work and dedication. I was blessed with the opportunity to begin my formal education at The University of Virginia and obtained a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology. After graduating, I elected to pursue a lifelong passion of entering the legal profession and moved to Jacksonville to attend Florida Coastal School of Law.
My first real-world opportunity was a legal internship during the latter years of the infamous real estate boom. I worked at a high volume settlement agency and real estate law firm and realized that I had found my niche in the legal profession.
I began my professional career as an in-house attorney for Fidelity National Financial. Fidelity is the leading global real estate title insurance company and I worked in one of the larger legal departments in the state. A few years of focused perseverance resulted in a promotion to manage an outstanding team of five attorneys. My team primarily focused on lender based litigation and settlement negotiations for the entire Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. After gaining invaluable experience and professional maturation, I still had a burning desire to work in the local business community. I decided to enter private practice and take an associate position in Ponte Vedra. I served a number of roles at this professional enterprise including managing the title company, handling most of the marketing and developing a book of real estate based legal business.
Notwithstanding a struggling economy, and against the advice of many people, I decided to take a huge risk and started my own practice. I’ve always had a strong entrepreneurial desire and view risk as something that should be weighed against passion. Quite frankly, I always thought that the large law firm mentality and the impersonal relationship between lawyers and clients created a market for my unique business model. My philosophy is that far too much time is wasted on failed communications, unavailability and mindlessly following archaic protocols. The practice of law should be less about semantics and more about solutions. I appreciate you taking the time to visit my website and look forward to serving the Jacksonville and Ponte Vedra communities for years to come.
